Five letters, Oct. 28, 1925 - Feb. 13, 1927, from Boyd to his cousin, Edith M. Smith, discussing the reception of his pamphlets about the Minnesota-Wisconsin frontier in the 1860s and 1870s. Included are comments on the Battle of Birch Coulee, the Chippewa Valley, the Chippewa Indians, and the Eau Claire family of novelist G.P.R. James.
