Collection of approximately 1,400 postcards sent by David J. Thompson to Kaveh Akbar. The cards document Thompson's travels throughout the United States, primarily through the South and Midwest, and in Europe. Thompson, a photographer, poet, and former teacher, also includes some of his own photography on the front of the cards in addition to the correspondence on the back.
