Abstract Correspondence from James Duncan Harris and brother Joseph Whipple Harris of Massachusetts and New Hampshire to members of their family, mostly written while they were in military service in the 1860's. Also, a few letters James wrote from Chicago in the 1850's; letters concerning Joseph Harris's death in 1861 while serving in the United States Navy; a few historic family letters and a genealogical pamphlet.
