Materials consist of signatures Doane collected from family members, friends, and acquaintances, including: English actress Ellen Terry; American singer Clara Louise Kellogg; Florenz Ziegfeld, Sr., music librarian of Chicago Musical College; and Phillips Brooks, American Episcopal clergyman and Rector of Boston’s Trinity Church.

Doane’s scrapbook chronicles the lives and performances of people featured in her autograph album, such as Ellen Terry and Clara Louise Kellogg, as well as other notable performers, such as: Italian opera singer Madame Adelina Patti; American actress Clara Morris; American actor Francis Wilson; English actor George Arliss; American actor John Mason; and American actor William Gillette. The scrapbook contains photographs and clippings from magazines and newspapers.
